fabric spotlight:strip quilts September 04 2017

This modern style quilt design is a panel of embroidered images nestled between 2 strips of fabric. The simplicity of composition and construction makes for a project that is quick and easy to make. Minimal seaming. Perfect for the beginner.

Strip Quilt: Plaid

We found this beautiful green buffalo check in a collection of men's italian shirting fabrics. Lucky us and now lucky you! So soft and smooth with a beautiful hand. The top strip is a multicolor seersucker plaid. Perfect for a little boys room or a unisex choice. Classic!

Strip Quilt: Print

It's fun to find two fabrics that compliment each other so well! The top strip is a soft cotton lawn with a repeat of turquoise apples and green leaves. The bottom section is an organic cotton voile designed by Lisa Congdon for Cloud 9 Fabrics. The hand drawn buildings have pops of coral, mint, gold and silver. Great color inspiration for embroidering the dogs!
